Radovi Gorana Kosanovića posve su nova, neobična i u plastičkom smislu veoma živa pojava na beogradskoj likovnoj sceni, i doneli su specifičnu vitalnost koja joj nedostaje poslednjih, umnogome zamornih godina opšteg oblikovnog raznoglasja.
Izložba Između nas, koju je Kosanović koncipirao i pripremio samo za svetostefansku izlozbu, sastoji se iz dva tipa njegovih već prepoznatljivih radova. Nešto starije slike (iz 1998/99), iz ciklusa Tri boje: crveno, plavo, belo, s jedne strane su mnimalistički urađeni dvodimenzionalni objekti /sa preleptom značenja koji obuhvataju njegove intimne, krajnje subjektivne doživljaje, ali i njegovo reagovanje na neke pojave iz recentne masovne kulture), a druge se u kontekstu ove izložbe u crnogorskom kulturnom i nacionalnom miljeu (znakoviti trikolori sa državne zastave), mogu čitati i kao izraz autorovog odnosa prema ambijentu u kome izlaže.
Preostala tri rada su oblikovno novi, trodimenzionalni objekti. Između nas, jedna sasvim lična 3D – slikovna ispovedaonica, i u istom maniru načinjena Zastava nose Kosanovićev lajvmotiv (dva srrca), ustanovljen kao takav na jednoj prethodnoj izložbi koja se zvala Priča o ljubavi. Prvi potpuno trodimenzionalni objekat Montenegro, pokazan na Svetom Stefanu, očigledn je simbol najpoznatijeg mesta, centra crnogorske države, kulturne i umetničke povesti, dakako u najčistijoj kosanovićevoj inerpretaciji. Na prvi pogled on može imati i konotaciju aktivnog komentara, ali u prvi plan izbija Kosanovićeva uobičajena poruka životnog optimizma, koji on svojim radovima veoma uspešno prenosi na gledaoce, sasvim po obrascu masovne kulture, kojoj on, u sušini, po svim karakteristikama i pripada.
I sam naziv izložbe – Između nas – ako se nekom i učini politički provokativnom, zapravo u osnovi ima isti, optimistički predznak. To između nas ne razdvaja, već povezuje unutarnjom imaginativnom snagom i energijom stvaralaštva Gorana Kosanovića, koje cilja samo u jednom pravcu – ka očekivanom ispunjenju čistom srećom i ljubavlju, u poljima masalačka.
The works of Goran Kosanaovic are a very new, unusual and in plastic terms a very lively phenomenon on the Belgrade art scene, and have brought a specific vtality which is all too lacking in recent years which are characterized by articulated difference.
In his exhibition Among Us, which Kosanovic conceived and prepared for St. Stephen, consists of two types of works which he is konwn by. On the one hand there are works painted a litle while ago (dating back to 1998/99) from the cycle Three Colors: Red, Blue, White and are minimalist, two – dimensional objects (with interwining singnification which encompass his very subjective experiances, as well as his reactions to certain prenomena in recent mass culture), while on the othere hand there are works which in tre context of this exhibition in the Montenegro cultural mileu (the sign specific use of the three colors appearing on the national flag) can be interpreted as expressions of the artists relation toward the place where he is exhibiting.
The other three works are formally new three-dimensional objects. Between Us is a very personal 3D dimensional confessional. The work Flag is done in the same mannerand draws on Kosanovics leitmotif (two harts) that became such on his previous exhibition, enttle Love Story. Kosanovics first totally three – dimensional work, Montenegro, exhibited ad St Stephen, is an obvious symbol of the well konwn place, the center of the Montenegrin state, cultural and art history, and is obviously interpreted in a manner that is specific to Kosanovic. At first glance, this work could have the connotations of an active commentary, but Kosanovic usual message of optimism comes through on gre surface, a message that in his works he transmits very successfully to his viewers and that is based on pop culture which he essentailly and in all aspects is a part off.
The very title Between Us, even if it appears politically charged, essentially has the same optimistic message. This between us does nod divide, but rather brings together with inner imaniginative power and energy specific to Goran Kosanovi and is directed toward a single goal, toward the exhpected fulfilmentwith pure bliss and happiness in the meadows of dandelions.
